Another day, another couple of bleaching strips. They are so foul, they have this icky-sweet syrupy stuff on them- the bleach- and they seem to generate bucketloads of drool. But they ARE working, and one must suffer for beauty.
The vest I knitted freestyle seems like it may- may!- actually work, too. I sewed up the seams last night, and now I'm weaving in the thousands of little tails of yarn from when I changed colours. It is taking For. Fucking. Ever. But when that's done, I'll have the fun of finishing off the neck and armhole ribbing with my double-pointed needles. That'll be fun, cuz it's another thing I don't actually have instructions for.
I got a good book at Savers this afternoon, it's called Food For Beginners and it's not a cookbook, it;s about the real causes of famine/world hunger etc. It's one of those For Beginners series books so it's got cartoons!
