Six Aliens Are Just Not Enough.
There are now six aliens, but it's just not enough. The scarf needs to be longer to wrap around my neck properly and have ends that are the right length. So I'm going to do another two.
A yarn shop has opened up just up Lygon St from my house, and they have workshops. I'd like to do the one they have on designing knitting patterns- the lady who runs the place used to dedign the patterns at Paton's. They say you have to be an experienced garment knitter first though, and I dont think one alien scarf quite qualifies me there. I'll wait till I've done four jumpers or so. They also have classes on seaming up your work into jumpers after it's knitted, and I might make use of that because that'sthe bit I find intimidating!
I bought some material at GJ's to make a case for all my knitting needles, which are rattling and clanging around in a jug that keeps getting knocked to the floor.
