My last two SYTYCD entries, cross posted from JF:
Wednesday’s SYTYCD
I like that we're seeing more good auditions than bad ones. I don't see why it's sister show, American Idol, can't do the same. I still feel like we don't know much about a lot of the better dancers, but I'm hoping that changes when they show the preliminary rounds in Vegas.
I hope that guy with the prosthetic leg comes back next year and rocks it. He had the best attitude.
I loved loved loved the lindy hoppers. Loved their costumes, too.
What else? Not much, really.
Thursday’s SYTYCD
Gah! The clogger kid! He was adorable and great. And I really liked the football player as well. His dad, though ... grrrr! He seems to be trying but being disappointed in your kid for dancing is so very uncool.
And how nifty was the robot-dancing guy. I hope he does get a part in that movie Shane was talking about.
The large chick in the striped sweater was scary delusional. I wish they wouldn't let people like that get to the producers. I'm tired of the freaky auditions.
Edited because I forgot to mention a couple of things
18-y-o lyrical dancer Caitlin -- yes, very nice. Other lyrical dancer Ashley Simpson - NO! Why was she put through to Vegas? I mean other than because Nigel's a gross dirty old man? She didn't do any real dancing, just titty dancer shaking and self-touching. It was nasty. All she needed was a pole! That was ick! Yuck!
Oh, and I thought the line dancer was pretty good. Maybe not Vegas good, but at least being sent to choreography good.
Vegas dance bootcamp week next week! Yay!

fannish5Imagine a con that perfectly fit your interests and preferences and describe five panels or events at that con.
1. A reality tv contestants panel, with only my favorites - Dustin & Kandice, Kris & Jon, Blake Lewis, Phil Keoghan, Simon Cowell, Gordon Ramsey, and a few others I can’t think of right now.
2. Quidditch. REAL Quidditch with us flying on brooms.
3. A really good costuming/cosplay panel with no wank and lots of sharing of ideas. And maybe with fabric and scissors and sewing machines in the room.
4. Can I order up a specific Amazing Race panel? Maybe a fandom LARP version of the Race?
5. An artists’ panel, with displays and artists discussing their work.
