Keeping in mind that family includes extended, and that the majority of Eric's extended family is in state. Many of them couldn't make it, mostly cousins/uncles and elderly aunts. Only one of my family members didn't make it, and all of our immediate family members were there.
We lost a few people to illness and a few people to car trouble in the end, but I think the number we had was actually perfect for both getting to see everyone but also having a decent percentage of great people to hang out with.
It was great. Hotter than we would have preferred, but since we were outside that was fine - my only miscalculation was where the sun would be during the ceremony. It was setting to the right of our seating, and was pretty brightly in some people's eyes since it was so sunny. I guess it's good that our ceremony was like 10 minutes tops.
