The weather finally decided to remember it was January. In Wisconsin. So snow, lots of blowing snow and lows around zero. They finally plowed my street, which merely packs the snow down slick and turns the entire street into a skating rink.
At least I finally got my car back from the dealership - again. Less than three weeks after having to have the car towed in December, it failed to start again. The alternator was bad, draining the battery, and the fuel pump was shot. Everything but the battery was covered by warranty, but twice in less than a month? And just to add insult to injury, when I went to pick it up Friday, the car wouldn't start. Turned out the starter needed to be replaced as well. And they didn't have one. So, no car until Monday. Which meant I finally got to go pick up the car in the middle of the snowstorm.
So finally, I have a car, my sidewalk and driveway are finally shovelled, and my only plan for the night is finishing Neil Gaiman's Ananzi Boys while sipping some of my homemade tomato soup.
