Poked around a bit on the Mars related communities last night and discovered Jared's latest photo session. Crazy, bizarre, and yet totally Jared. I uploaded all the photos
here, but I'll repost a few.
Original Source. Oh, they're from
Crash Magazine, a French Magazine. I'm guessing issue #32, since the cover for #31 is some brunette girl.
*g* Naughty. Provocative. And yet, somehow there's a taste of innocence lost.
Theatrical. Crazy. But also, in a way it looks like he's caught in mid-motion. In a dance. Flamenco?
Did I mention I love the masks? *g*
Sometimes the more you hide, the more you reveal. Love those eyes.
Did you read the article?
I was born in the belly of the deep south of America into the semi-gentle arms of the state of Louisiana to a single mother in her teens. The youngest of two, my brother, mother and I soon escaped the less than promising surroundings and started a journey that took us to dozens of different cities, towns, and states. I suppose I continue this adventure now and feel quite at home living this peripatetic existence.
I think that's the first time he's said how young Constance was when she had them. Impressive. All three of them and what they've made out of nothing.
And, as for Jared's SAT word of the day. From m-w.com... peripatetic
Etymology: Middle French & Latin; Middle French peripatetique, from Latin peripateticus, from Greek peripatētikos, from peripatein to walk up and down, discourse while pacing (as did Aristotle), from peri- + patein to tread; akin to Sanskrit patha path
Date: 1566
* of, relating to, or given to walking
* moving or traveling from place to place : itinerant
I told you they had gypsy blood. *g*
I think it was
letosghanima who said (fairly recently) that she admired Jared but didn't particularly (or always) like him. (Forgive me if I'm misquoting you.) Seems to be a common sentiment among a lot of people. Not me. I admire him. I respect him. And I genuinely like him. He's certainly chosen the road not taken. He's built castles out of nothing, yet he seems willing to blow those castles away and start again. Takes a lot of character, a lot of faith in oneself. Despite the fact that 30STM is now recognized by those who aren't die hard fans, I think there is still an aspect of you either get it or you don't. That goes for Jared as well. I'm just happy he's willing to share himself with those who get him. *g*
Happy birthday to our crazy cult leader. May you eventually find all you desire.
P.S. And nothing to do with the Crash photos or article, but here's the Leto boys (with Brian Bolthouse) in LA from 12/22/2007. Jared's home and Shannon is back to being a brunette.
