I did get advice last week (although in your case it's not gonna help a whole lot :P). A guy at school said to get drunk, not super drunk, but enough for a buzz, and fall asleep right then (since getting drunk makes one sleepy anyway). When you wake up apparently you feel much better.
Not that that helps :P
My recommendation - when you get into the lethargic "god I don't wanna do anything" mode, DO SOMETHING! ANYTHING that's productive will help you to get out of the mood . It's hard to do at first, but all you have to focus on is standing up. Then walking towards what you're gonna do. After that you tend to start moving and actually doing it. This will help when you're trying to sleep, because even if it's just one thing that you got accomplished, it's one less thing on that list that you'll have to do.
Another thing I recommend doing is rather than mulling over it at night, make an actual list of things that you have to do. That way you won't have circular thinking and repeating things that you have to do which may make it seem like you have more than you do. And this way rather than thinking about those things you can think about how you're going to go about doing them (which always puts me to sleep :P)
