Pain hurts unless you have drugs
ow!!!! I have pain. I have had pain since Friday. I got drugs today. I went to bed Thurday night and I had a little pain below my left ear. Friday morning it was a somewhat larger pain and it came with a swollen gland. Just below the jaw line. Friday night I took 2 benedryls thinking maybe that might clear it up. Woke up Saturday morning with a bigger painful swollen gland. Went to the cheap walk in "family urgent care" clinic and got to have nice young doctor play with my sore gland. He checked my thryoid and looked in the mouth, nose and ears. Couldn't find anything wrong with me other than the swollen gland. So he tells me that sometimes they just do that and it should be better withing 2 weeks. To see my family doctor in a week and a half and if it gets worse to go to the ER.
Sunday it hurts and is bigger, Sunday night I take a tylenol 3 and try to sleep. MOnday morning it is freaking huge and hurts like a mother. I have to go to work. There is no way I can't. So I go in and tell my boss I am going to the hospital after our customer leaves. 12:30 rolls around and I finally get to go. I got to wait in the triage room with a man with an infection from his new pacemaker and a woman with a bleeding kidney and then this poor many comes in with a broken wrist and a huge gash in the other arm. He was all calm about it too! His wrist was twisted in a very odd manner, never seen anything like that before. Anyway I got to be treated by a very tall (I mean it hurt to look up at him) cute young doctor. Too bad I am old enough to be his aunt LOL. Anyway the looks and pokes, but this dude has the magic fingers. Didn't even hurt me. Took blood and a throat culture. They couldn't believe that I didn't have a sore throat or a problem swollowing. Sorry I'm not like 99% of the population, I just have to be difficult :) So, at 3:15 they finally let me go with a perscription for antibiotics and my new best friend till the swellign goes down. His nane is Darvocet. He is my buddy, he takes away most of the pain :) He fucks my typing up, but I am soooo happy to not be in such horrible pain I don't care.
I think I will actually be able to sleep tonight!! Wonderful sleep :) Still hurts to touch my grade A extra large egg size fucking swollen gland, but at least I can stand to hold up my head. MY second newest best friend is Z-pack, the quickest working antibiotics on the planet (I HOPE).
So i'm going to take my drug induced ramblings off to bed and plan on waking up tomorrow somewhat more human than I was today.
