Drinking party omg??
Our APhiO chapter had its initiation today, which I think went pretty smoothly. However, that's not as much what this post is about. This is about the return of Deep Thought + Contemplation, i.e. post-event drinking.
Tommy had wanted to start up a drinking party with APhiO people (but which naturally wouldn't be an official event and such), and it happened after initiation tonight. I didn't think I'd make it, but I came around anyway, and after a little bit of work I actually managed to get into conversations with people. The atmosphere was pretty comfortable, and while I didn't want to stay all that long (I left at 11 when I showed up at 9:40), it was a good scene.
So wow, that makes basically the second party I've ever really enjoyed myself at. I think that this has a lot to do with how welcoming the host can be. The first party was hosted by Eli, and Eli was always good at being funny but also able to be serious if he had to. Cheers to you guys.
