UC wins another point

Nov 17, 2005 00:10

Well, once again, I caught an awesome UC movie. Tonight was Edward Scissorhands. I must say I didn't know what to expect, but I was very impressed. I am also surprised with myself that I cried a little bit near the end (I managed to look reasonably presentable, though). I think this may be because I empathize with some of Edward's passiveness and his general desire to do no harm although he is naturally hazardous. However, let me stop here so that I don't go into a self-reflective melancholy rant about my social skills.

In other news, Nataly is visiting my apartment for the first time tomorrow morning. The apartment is looking a bit more presentable, so I'm not too worried. I need to control myself and make myself not get anxious, because I know that my weak point is to be really needy around people who make me feel good. I think I can manage, though, as long as I keep aware of what's happening.

As a last note, I don't know if the OS kernel (for people taking OS) was already due, but I wish everyone in the class good luck during this crunch time.

Edit: Boy on a Stick and Slither just gave me another great quotation.
"Waking up in the morning is like winning the life lottery!"
