I just saw The Island at McConomy auditorium for a buck. Good movie... I didn't really feel tired the whole 2.25 hours of it, even though it started at 12:30 am and I was dead tired before it started. However, it definitely got me a little creeped out and I can't sleep. That's why I'm writing this post.
Also, there was good company seeing it. I managed to poke Larissa, another person from Global Studies house, earlier in the day about DDR. We danced, hung out a bit with her friends who were visiting for the weekend, and then said we'd meet up together for the movie. It was good having a little company for that movie; I wouldn't have gone on my own, I think, because I feel like a loner when I catch movies by myself. It turns out we both like Rocky Horror and have a good familiarity with old video games, so we'll have to hang out in the future.
In other news, I'm really going to need to go to another laundromat as opposed to using the laundry machines in my apartment area. The dryer is currently out of order (I think part of it was taken out for repairs), and I've hung my clothes on shelves and am drying them with a space heater. It's surprisingly effective, but I can't do this each time I need to clean clothes.
Also, research is actually going pretty awesomely right now. I have to code up some stuff to do brute-force searching, but I also managed to prove a theorem I was hoping to get done. I have a nice LaTeX file on my Andrew space right now for my advisor to look at, and I'm very proud of it.
Now if only I get to grading my recitation's work... at least I have a grader helping with some of it this week.
