8-year old Stretching

I've recently discovered "8-year old Style Stretching," a term I made up to describe stretching almost all the time while intending not to tense any muscle or tendon: only feeling a burn from the StretchinG of a muscle/tendon, not from the FlexingG of a muscle/tendon.

The name comes cause when I stretch like this in public, I find myself in all sorts of odd postures and positions, ones often seen from 8 year olds standing on one leg or bounce-stretching against a wall or holding one arm up over their head and winding it back around and down the other side of their head. It also comes from the complete innocence and lack of a tense response to putting myself in these positions. While the positions may be unusual, they are not awkward. Awkward has to do with social definitions of appropriateness. I do look weird doing these stretches, and it does feel gloriously good during and afterwards. Unless I'm engaged in something else, or am in immediate danger, it's good for me to stretch, if I feel like stretching, no? :1

Also, the name comes from the fact that there is no one "correct" way of doing it, nor is it defined by any particular style or defined postures or even routines. 8-year old stretching acknowledges that your body will tell you what to do if you are listening. Be aware and just go for it. Connect Four.

YouTube video to come.
