Well, my sister, Megan, headed back to Iraq today after a 2 week "break". Here are couple pics and "highlights" of her trip home:
This is a pic of the shirts that we had made up for my sister. On the front, it said "We support our troops".
We got our hair "did". I dyed mine back to my natural color and Megan got highlights and 3 inches cut off!
On our way to go shopping...we are HOT! Heheheheheheee.
Eating at our fave spaghetti place on Lake Erie. It was DELICIOUS!
We went to see "Steel Magnolias" at LaComedia in Dayton. It was a great play and we had fun dressing up.
Megan, my mother, and I at Longaberger buying Megan her new basket that she wanted.
Megan visited DAAV where I work; we had a GREAT time.
Eating at our fave pub in Chillivegas.
Megan and her husband, Josh, pose for the camera. CHEESE!
Overall, I was sad to see her leave to go back to Iraq, but I think she had a GREAT time while she was home and got to relax and be "normal" for a bit and actually do her hair and wear makeup, which she said made her the happiest. She should be home for good by Thanksgiving, so that's what I am praying for.
