Today is the 20th year that I've owned my condo, and also the day my mother died in 1972. I like to try to do something volunteerish to remember Mother, so I spent the last two days working on it. My hands are better, although I'm still having trouble walking ( Read more... )

After I got offline last night (having just skimmed my flist), I read a lot of papers, and am up to the 30th. I went to bed to read at 3am and came back out to get the paper when I was ready to sleep, at 4am. I'd planned to go to bed very soon after solitaire, but I played one of the games for two hours and didn't win. I eventually talked myself to signing off, but by then it was 5am. Saturday night/Sunday morning, I was up reading at 4am and realized that if I stayed up until 6am, I could get money from the ATM, get groceries (and points above 400), and get gas for $.40 off a gallon. (I actually typed this yesterday evening and then had lots of trouble in LJ). I stayed up until 7am Sunday, reading newspapers and the book, and then went to sleep. I slept until 4am and then read the book, ate, read a bit of the paper (I now have Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), and headed out at 9am. I got the trash & recycling out and the cardboard to the transfer station and then planned to pick up a kind of Loctite glue at the store the website gave me, and they don't have that one.
