Oh who am I trying to kid? I can totally watch this.
37:00 apparently evil drug makes you...blink sideways?
41:00 apparently evil drug also makes your pants turn into leather
so, anyway, I'm thinking that the character's background would be that he'd worked as a mercenary for the cia in africa and saw a bunch of stuff with child soldiers, and that's why he decided to retire and work in the circus. to bring happiness to children. until one day he was pushed too far.
ok, back to this movie
49:00 armory scene. steven seagal is tooled up and ready to ruck
1:00:01 phone call. "I'm flattered you recognized my voice." I'm starting to think they planned this whole movie, just so they could use that line.
1:19:00 AWWWW SHIT! THAT DUDE TOTALLY KILLED STEVEN SEAGAL'S GIRLFRIEND!mercy killing

"I'm wondering if his sense of humor is much more subtle than we may have suspected"
this summer, my brother and I spent a LOT of time on a treatment for a screenplay about Steven Seagal. And the TV chef Emeril. Making Under Siege 4. It was actually way more high-concept than it sounds. There was this frame story with a journalist, who's sent by one of those snobby 'satire' magazines like Vice to go on the set and make fun of it, and we had all this stuff about catchphrases, and lowbrow... we talked about it constantly, it was really fun. But then when we started reading about Seagal, we found out that in the 80's, Spy did a feature on him, and he freaked out, and threatened to sue, and said (just recently) that it ruined his career.
We found out that people had stunt-cast Emeril in "acting" roles before, too - he had a sitcom or something that tanked - so basically our idea turned out to be too true to keep working on.
Anyway my guess is that he doesn't have a great sense of humor. Although you would think he'd have to
