Columbus M&G and Concert

Oct 08, 2009 14:38

Okay, so let me just start by saying that last night was amazing! The whole experience was completely awesome. =) This is going to be pretty lengthy, so I put each section underneath a cut.

First, I met in the front of the venue with all the other meet and greeters at 4:30. The girls were all really cool and nice. Anyway, the tour manager was supposed to come get us at 5:00 but in Hanson time, that really meant 5:30. While we were waiting, we actually saw Isaac walking down the street. That was kind of strange. =)

Anyway, finally the tour manager comes out and starts calling all of our names. He leads us to this alley outside of the venue (which was pretty odd.) So a few minutes later, Taylor comes over. He was reallllly nice and shook hands with all of us and let us introduce ourselves. A minute or two later, Isaac and Zac showed up. Zac was sort of dancing (or something) on the way down to where we were all standing.

After they were all there, they told us we could have our stuff signed by all of them. I ended up having them sign an Ohio State magnet because I absolutely love the Buckeyes and since we were in Columbus, I thought it would be fitting. =) Plus, I wanted them to sign something unique.

Taylor was the first one to sign it. I have to say... that boy is absolutely flawless in person. First he put his autograph and then he started to put my name. When he asked how to spell it, he misunderstood me and wrote the wrong letter. I told him it was no big deal and he was like, "No, I am gonna fix it... I'll think of something!" So where he messed up, he turned it into a musical note. Beside of the musical note he drew a peace sign and a heart and then an arrow pointing toward the musical note. He said, "There, I made it into peace, love and music!" Then he wrote 'Hanson' on my magnet and said he was going to draw three more music notes "because I'm musical!" (If he only knew how non-musical I really am! lol.)

Next Isaac came over and when I gave him my magnet he said that it would be great if Ohio State won the national championship this year. I'm not sure if he really meant it or if he was just trying to be nice. ;) Then he asked me where I was planning on putting the magnet and I told him I wasn't sure yet. While he was signing it, the girl beside me had a birthday card that played MMMBop. Isaac started dancing when it played. =) He was more quiet than the other two, but still really nice.

Finally, Zac came over and signed the magnet. He was just as hot in person, but he was shorter than I thought he was. Jokingly, he was like, "I don't want Ohio State to win the national championship!" I asked him if it was because he was an Oklahoma Sooners fan and he laughed and said "No, but anytime I hear OSU I always think of Oklahoma State... but I should have known they are usually talking about your team!" We talked about football for a couple of minutes and then he was like, "So are you excited to be in the front row tonight? You don't have to be in the front if you don't want to, but you guys get the chance to be up there first!" I told him I would definitely be up there even though I am sure lots of people would be happy to be in my place.

Next someone announced that it was time to have our group picture taken. I was still standing by Zac at this point, so I got to be in the picture beside of him. Can I just say that having Zac Hanson's arm around me pretty much made my life???? I ended up with Taylor on the other side of me... Not sure how I was so lucky to be between Taylor and Zac!! The reporter took one picture and Zac was like, "Do a few more! Lets have a photoshoot!"

After the pictures, I thanked them and told them it was awesome to meet them, and then we got to go into the venue early to get in the front row.

-BTW, my real name is Debbie and my middle name is Renee. I had them sign my real name.

Taylor's "Peace, Love and Music."-

I got to be in the VERY front row and in the dead center, right in front of where Zac sits for the acoustic songs.

Unfortunately, they were VERRRRRRY strict about the cameras, so I didn't get to take pics. I will be getting my meet and greet picture in the next few days, so I will at least get to post that whenever I get it.

First up was Sherwood. I really liked them and their keyboardist looked EXACTLY like Andy Dick. It was weird. Next was Steel Train… These guys all wore skinny jeans and it was awesome! They were really energetic… especially the lead singer/guitarist. I thought he was going to break his guitar at the end. Hellogoodbye came out next and I enjoyed them the most, mostly because I know several of their songs. They brought their beer onstage too, which was pretty hilarious.

When Hanson came on, everything was amazing. We had a pretty incredible setlist:

1. Worlds on Fire
2. Runaway Run
3. Great Divide
4. Where's the Love
5. Get Up and Go
6. Running Man
7. Got a Hold On Me
8. Penny and Me
9. Been There Before
10. Crazy Beautiful
------
11. Carry You There
12. Strong Enough to Break
13. A Song to Sing
14. Never Let Go (Taylor Solo)
--------
15. This Time Around
16. Waiting for This
17. Long Train Runnin
18. If Only
19. MMMBop
20. Watch Over Me
Encore: Cried

Near the end of the Hanson show, Hellogoodbye was out in the crowd with us.
