Summer = Festivals!!!
Matsuri da! Matsuri!!!
In Japan, summer means fireworks and festivals!
Today was my area's festival. What I love most about matsuri is good food!! yum yum.
All the stores in the area had booths in front of their shops just for today with discounted prices on their menus.
Even Mickey D's joined in with their McFlurry booth selling their usually 300yen McFlurries for only 190 yen!! What a deal!
It was hard to resist the Chinese restaurant's booth with delicious-smelling yakigyoza.
But somehow I resisted.
I really love matsuri. I need to find out where some more are gonna be held. Esp. the firework contests.
BTW, the above picture is of some of the dancers who paraded by. Behind them were ppl playing Japanese flutes and taiko drums.
It's great to see all the families watching and enjoying matsuri.
