Purging is Good for You
Or sometimes all you need is a good cry. That's apparently what Gaerfie needed tonight. He got home around 1600 and told me he had gone walking in Poughkeepsie to clear his head. The he went to Barnes And Nobles to find solice in books, but that didn't work. In the end he came home for forgiveness which I offered with open non-judgemental arms. I took a much needed nap as it was 1700 and I still hadn't eaten anything yet today.
I woke up to Katydid crying for her wooby. Gaerfie went and got her and she asked for me. We snuggles in bed for a bit, but she wouldn't settle down. We put her back in the room and i snuggled with The Gnome, but Katydid wouldn't stop crying. Gaerfie went and took her into the computer room for Chuzzles and Chili Peppers. She was still squirming though. We finally switched places. Katydid calmed down a bit, but still was crying for something. I noticed she was looking at a cup and figured she wanted a drink. The Gnome wanted one too, so Gaerfie got them milk. While drinking her milk i noticed she was also chewing on the cup and that's when it hit me...She's teething! I asked Gaerfie to get the Anisette toast and once she had it and a bit more milk she wanted to sleep in her bed. Mission accomplished. Gaerfie felt so stupid he couldn't figure it out(I told him I didn't notice either)that he started crying and that was it, the flood gates opened. He started apologizing for everything he did today and for the last three years! The Gnome hugged him and told him it was OK to cry. He came in the computer room with me so Daddy could curl in a ball and finish purging. When he was done he joined us. The Gnome hugged him and kissed him and sat on his lap listening to the music. Then he asked to snuggle again. After he went right to bed. I gave Gaerfie the computer and finally went down stairs to eat something. By this time it was 2200.
The Pot Roast I started in the morning had reduced and had fallen apart nicely. I took a bite and said, "What? This is better then Dinty Moore!" I gobbled up a bowl along with a piece of Rosemary & Olive Oil Artisan bread. It was good and yes you can bet i put the recipe on kitchen_witchy1 for all to enjoy. Now I will have some ice cream and off to bed. Night all.
