You know i had to put our first talk the C.O. gave in a year!!
Hope you enjoy it as much as we did!!
Preaching the good news is the most important work of the century. Whether a person lives or dies depends on how a person responds to the preaching work. We must search to find those who want to hear the good news.
1st Corinthians 3:5-7: These are the stages of the rescue work- planting, cultivating, and reaping. This process is like an assembly line. Each step must take place for a person to be rescued. No one can be rescued if we font plant or cultivate. Now, we have a plan, but still we need a model. However, we have a perfect model, Jesus.
Matthew 10:11: You cannot plant and water unless you first search. In addition, we do not wait for interested ones. We are to search out for those deserving. Now, do the clergy search out for deserving ones? No, rather they use radio and television. What is the real reason for people using the TV to preach? Aside from the money, they do it so they do not have to put forth any effort. How hard is it to stand in front of a camera with a smile and a bible you do not use?
(A missed a little part, sorry, I had to say a prayer. LOL!)
Luke 15:20: What describes god better- this or saying that Jehovah’s merciful in general?
Leviticus 19: 9, 10: This was the law on gleaning. This was to ensure that those who did not have the means to get food could eat.
Deuteronomy 24: 19-24: We see clearly what the law states. The law did not state how much of the land the owner was to leave. Why? It was because it gave the landowner the ability to be generous like Jehovah was to them. HOW WIDE IS THE EDGE OF OUR FIELD? Also, how cheerfully are we giving?
How do we know who deserves to be preached- by looking at a person? No, but by a persons mind. Now, how do we find out what is on a persons mind? Start talking to them!! Talk to them about God, Jesus, his kingdom, and other things like such. Once an interest is found, we have an obligation to call back and develop this interest more. How can we say that we are searching for deserving ones is they present themselves, but then we do not come back?
This work is like baseball.
1st base -place magazines
2nd base -return visits
3rd base -bible study
Home plate -meetings, baptism
The goal of the game is to get to home plate. We should not be content with just first base with our return visits.
Matthew 10: 11: Search out who are deserving. If everyone we talk to were interested, Jesus would not have said to teach out for the people. He knew it would be difficult. It should be expected that many people would not accept the work. However, there is always someone our there that is deserving. Jehovah has not called of the preaching work.
Matthew 28: 18-20: Here, Jesus gave a promise to support and have personal interest in the Christian congregation and the preaching work. Jesus has to answer to god for the end of this work. He promised us he would help- now all we need to do is be out there! We will get all the help we need from Jesus Christ and Jehovah God!
much love,
