Bad Mommy! Not really...
So, Tony had his 1 month physical today. He's grown a full inch in the month he's stared at the light of day, and ate his way up to a happy 9lbs 3oz. They officially diagnosed him with reflux and prescribed meds for it, then informed me that said reflux had caused him to have an ear infection. That was why he's been so extra needy the last few days. He also got antibiotics for that. And then... he got a shot.
And they made me hold his leg out straight and still so they could stab him! I aided and abetted in the stabbing of my son! He cried, oh god he cried, and then I started crying. The nurse tried to make me feel better saying it was all for his health and I was helping him in the long run. I still felt bad and cried. Makes me glad that Mom is taking him to his 2 month physical cuz he'll get 4 shots at that visit. Ack, I don't know that I could handle it. Poor little guy.
He seems to be doing well on his meds. Takes them without any fuss at all! They just make him really sleepy and I worry about messing up his schedule he's finally on. But tonight, screw it. He got stabbed and has an ear infection, he gets special treatment tonight.
