Meet people. Shake hands.
My job has taught me the plight and pride of working class people. I have learned how on-the-edge of poverty we all are. I have learned how adults never grow up, me included. I wear two mismatched socks at all times to remind myself of idividuality and also being a kid. Tonight, I make best friends with about 20 girls who average age 7. They will all go home and mismatch their socks and talk about how things are so totally cool. Sometimes, my mothers with a lot of money are the ones who drop the ball. Sometimes, these are the mother who are so difficult to work with when it takes me three days to call them back. It takes them weeks to get back to me. Sometimes, I think I need to find a new job so I can be a Girl Scout leader instead of an ugly council employee.
Sometimes, I think my toes are cold. Sometimes, I think it is Thursday.
