The hd_holidays reveals are up and I can now have the pleasure of publicly thanking lesyeuxverts00 for writing Not By Bread Alone. I met lesyeuxverts00 over dinner at Terminus and I think it's super cool that I can put a real face with the gift I got. These anonymous exchanges can seem so anonymous sometimes:D
Anyway, I know sad fics can be a tough sell, but Not By Bread Alone is a beautifully written fic, and I really loved how she used the concept as memories as currency. The fic is written in reverse chronology too. It's really well done, and deserves lots of love. (There are some warnings and it is NC-17.)
I have to admit I wasn't completely pleased with the fic I submitted, and I'm still tweaking it -- like the fact that Ginny just disappears half-way through the fic. What, you thought Draco actually cared what happened to Ginny;-). I'll probably post it here later tonight. But it's here, if you wish to read its current incarnation.

One of the pleasures I did have with getting to write in first person, which was one of _pinkchocolate's requests. I've always wanted give that a try and I had great fun to trying to imagine the world inside Draco's head (It's a little scary, as one might imagine, and probably not all that canon either:P).
