Today is day 6. I am still feeling strong and resolved not to smoke. I stood around today with a bunch of smokers, and while my mouth was watering and I really wanted a smoke, I stayed strong and just finished the conversation and walked away. I was very proud of myself ( Read more... )

Well, its evening. I made it through another day without smoking. Thats 3 days down. I could smell Joe's folks smoking today and just did lots of deep breathing. I feel better, and the sense of smell that is returning is rather staggering. Things like chewing gum smell insanely sweet ( Read more... )

Smoking is something I have done for almost 25 years. Its been a part of my life, and in some respects, my life has been dictated by it. Certainly my finances are influenced by it. Friendships are also influenced by it, I guess. Its formed a piece of my personality, and to an extent, my culture. I have always enjoyed it though ( Read more... )

Its been a while since I posted an LJ entry so I had better remedy that.

Not a whole lot has been happening, and yet everything has been happening. Brittany is a moody, distant teenager; Joe is wonderful; Poker has been good. My birthday has come and gone, and Valentines day was cool. I am back at school which is different.

Joe and I drove down to Sydney last Monday, and from Sydney to Bega on Tuesday. We spent a nice few days with my dad before driving from Bega to Sydney on Thursday, and Sydney to Ballina on Friday. Around 2800kms in five days ( Read more... )

Joe, Matt and I went to see Shane St James on the 4th. Joejoe and I were suppose to go up on stage but I ended up going up on my own. I got hypnotised, and became the principal in a school.
