mood theme, work woes, small health update

It's all vampirekiryuu's fault. She posted that she found a mood theme of the white and black Mokonas from Tsubasa and xxxHolic, so I had to go find it and figure out how to upload it too. So now I'm the proud user of sapphire_heaven's creation. ^_^ They're so cute.

Two people were fired in my department this week, one a girl who sits in my desk area. I wasn't surprised she was fired, as she has self-admittedly low score cards, but it's still sad. They've tightened the score cards recently too, as the corporate big wigs are all reading this book called Good to Great about how to make our huge company even better and more customer-focused, so it all trickles down to make our jobs more difficult. I hate feeling like I might lose my job at any time, but I guess there isn't job security nowadays. My last job, the one I got fired from, was the one I was at the longest, and that was only about 5 years. My average before that was about 2 years at a place -- then it usually tended to go out of business. :P

As far as my health, the $1500 pulmonary tests came back...inconclusive. The doctor can't really tell if I have asthma or not, so he wants to meet with me and discuss it. To be honest, I don't really think I do. Any problems I might have with breathing, I feel have strictly to do with my obesity. It's funny, but the technician assumed, as I keep telling people that most do here in Indiana, that I'm all white, then later asked if I was part Asian, because she had spoken to my mom ("your grandmother?") on the phone, so she said she was going to change the comparison results to Asian instead of white, because it makes a difference. She didn't see fit to note that on my chart though. I think she should have. Who knows what race my lungs take after? No one would know unless they did an autopsy on me. I guess us biracial people make it too hard on the medical world. LOL. :PPPPPPPP

As usual, my cough is still ongoing and the other not-fun effects I get from it. On a positive note, my new gastroenterologist approved me to try domperidone, which I ordered online and got and started today. We'll see if it helps at all with making me less drowsy. Reglan is notorious for causing drowsiness, although so are so many other drugs I'm on. We'll see, we'll see.
