A quick review of 2017 and resolutions!

January
Quiet start of a year! Spent new year on Zao with PS snowboarding and onsening~ Ros came to visit for a week and we went snowboarding too!Celebrated CNY with E, PS and other dormmates with hotpot in our dorm. Rest of the month was spent preparing for 彼's visit and our trip to Hokkaido in February!
February
彼 came to visit! We spent a night in Yokohama and then flew to Hokkaido for a lovely winter trip. 13th February, On the frozen lake of Akan-ko, he proposed! ^3^ Officially engaged. XD We also caught so many toys from UFO catchers >3<
March
Celebrated our 5th anniversary! 彼 passed his orals and officially got his chief mate license! We watched 《Strong Women Do Bong Soon》together online, catching new episodes together XD.
Also started a series of drama marathons starting with 《老九门》!我的佛爷！ Bought a new snowboard too and went snowboarding in Hakuba!
April
April is the month of sakura and also 彼's 28th birthday! We took a break from FFXIV started playing "Revelation Online" together. It didn't last but it was fun while it lasted XD. I visited Kawagoe near the end othe month, and also started watching 《 蜀山战纪之剑侠传奇》to continue chase my 佛爷 and 颖宝~ Around this time, Bobby's health started failling >_<
May
彼 started his 7th voyage, to Ghana! We were both worried because we were both unfamiliar with Africa and had no idea what the place held, but thankfully things worked out well ;3
Golden Week! mayu came to visit, bringing my Samsung S8 and lots of goodies food from home. We visited Enoshima, Akita and Ibaraki, where I got to see my Blue Sea of Nemophilia. We also took an unexpected trip to Yamanashi and went up to Mount Fuji's 5th station when mayu's colleague invited us to visit them. Bobby's health continued to decline >_<
June
I bought tickets and flew home home on 31st May and spent the first few days of June in Singapore just to accompany my baby boy, knowing very clearly that it would be my last time seeing and holding him.... We made the decision to let him go on 18th June so he no longer had to suffer. It still pains me that I wasn't there with him but I know he was in good hands and very loved by my parents and mayu. It was a month of self-doubt and questioning myself if my training in Japan was worth sacrificing my time with family and loved ones. There will never be answer and we can only live with our choices and do the best that we can. I still miss him so much.
July
Started StormBlood on FFXIV! Was also nominated for promotion and spent the rest of the month writing the promotion essay and preparing for the interview. Also started planning for our wedding for next year! 彼 and I also started our annual watching of "Game of Thrones" together~
Also caught 《未満都市 20 Years Special》! It's really special for mayu and me because we loved the show so much and 20 years has passed not just for the show, the actors but also for us.PS and I also organized a fireworks trip for our fellow Singaporeans at Adachi Fireworks. Really really beautiful fireworks!
August
August was a month of farewell as PS and E headed home. I caught HFMD right before obon but managed to recover enough to go Nagano for a few days and claim a free guided tour in Azumino that I won online. Also continued marathoning my chinese dramas with 《青云志》. Got my promotion too!
September!
32nd birthday! mayu came to visit because of her friend's wedding. I took the day off and we went to Saitama to attend the wedding. My first Japanese wedding, my next and last would probably be mayuko's I guess XD. Went to Tokyo Summerland which was kinda cool since I've always been wondering how these indoor waterparks are like every since reading GTO~ YT came to Japan and we went out together quite alot! Also bought an SD doll Akatsuki for mayu! Continued my Chinese drama marathon with《古剑奇谭》. On the downside, my LINE account was hacked =.=
October
Home Sweet Home and wedding planning! Came back to Singapore for my 2 weeks 一時帰国, It was so good be home and to see 彼 after 8 months, and go around making making our wedding preparations. Exhausting but glad we did everything together ;3 We also got to attend Distant Worlds concert together! At the end of the month I went back to Japan, and 彼 headed off to Ghana for his 8th voyage.
November
Autumn! Went to Kinugawa Onsen, Mount Mitake, Mount Takao, Kichijoji to check out the autumn foliage. Also attended Ando Tadao and Shinkai Makoto Exhibit!
December
It's winter! Started off the snowboard season with a day trip to Karuizawa Snow Park, followed by another trip to Inawashiro Ski Resort! Also visited Jogashima, Tsukuji Fish Market and Akiba with YW when she came to visit. And finally my home sweet home trip~
2017 Resolutions
My Resolutions
◆Save up more money for wedding and house
→Done! We saved up a really good amount and with my promotion, I got a huge raise!
◆Slim down
→;x my weight is yoyoing, but I'm lighter than last Dec that's for sure.
◆Stay healthy
→Despite not getting a flu shot, I didn't catch any flu/cold this year! Only sickness for the entire year was that horrible HFMD.
◆Rise up to the challenges that 2017 will throw at me
→I guess by getting the promotion and the current recommendation to bring the project back to Singapore, I pretty much met the challenges for the year. The other challange would be arranging for my wedding, which I think I'm doing pretty well too ;3
◆Spend quality time with 彼
→Had a wonderful February trip with 彼, and we had a good 2 weeks together during my 一時帰国 too.
◆Spend quality time with family
→Glad I came back in June to spend time with Bobby and my parents. As well as my current trip. Though I was pissed that I had to come back like 1.5 months before my actual homecoming, and the friend's wedding which I was suppose to attend was cancelled, I'm still glad to come back to spend time with family
◆Better work-life balance -->less workaholic
→haha I think I definitely did well on this... Working in Japan makes me far less motivated to work... ;x
