first days
booo. i'm sitting in panera bread. i just had a sandwich and chai. it was a good brunch.
yesterday was my first day of work. waking up at 5:30am really sucked. i only got about two hours of sleep that night. :( i didn't have to interact with any customers so that was pleasant. i hope it's like that all the time. i got to prepare people's food all day. making frozen lattes and smoothies is my favorite thing to do.
from about 12:45-1:30 i did nothing but prepare hot dogs. we had this insane rush on them. everyone and their mothers wanted a fucking hot dog at that time. it was absolutely miserable. i burned my hands and arms several times. :( at least time went by really fast because i was constantly moving and doing something.
i had my first class - history of western art - this morning. bright and early at 8:30am. i'm not sure how i feel about the professor. i think she means well but i feel like she's really dumbing herself and art down for the students in the class.
i was stupid and sat farthest to the left of the room so i would surely be asked to go first for anything we raised our hands for. she asked who in the class had taken art classes previously or something and i raised my hand and she started asking me questions. i let out this weirdawkwardnervous laugh, replied, and then died inside. i really hope the cute boy with tattoos wasn't paying attention. :x (also: i have already checked myspace/facebook for this boy and no success. UGH. how will i ever interact with him!?)
i've got a couple of hours to kill before my next class. i have no idea what i'm going to do. especially for the rest of the semester. i can't come to panera bread every day. it's too damn expensive. but my original plan of the library seems so boring now. how will i ever stay awake?
