Welcome to mixshare! mixshare encourages its members to post complete mixes and playlists, along with cover art, that are available for download. They don't need to be themed or applicable to any particular fandom or event - simply sharing and recommending music in mix form is the modus operandi.

Hi! I'm new here :), and I'm not quite sure how to go about tagging the entry with my username. Might you be able to tell me how? Sorry for the lame question. Thanks for your time.

It's quite all right! When you go to the LJ update page (or your client, if you use one), simply type in your user name in the input field for 'tags' (under 'mood' and above the 'entry is backdated' check box). If you've already posted your mix (as I see you have), go to its page and click the 'tag' box (the second box from the right above the subject line). On that page, simply type in your username in the 'current tags' box and save changes!

Now, you'll have your own tag on the community tags page so, if someone likes one of your mixes, they can easily find your other ones.

Thank you so much for joining and posting!

Thanks so much for your kind and patient reply!

Thanks! I've done this and saved it, and when I go into "edit" mode I can see the tag with my username, but I can't see it in the refreshed post, and my name doesn't appear in the community tags page. I hope I didn't do it incorrectly! I've tried twice now, typing it in the 'current tags' box and saving the changes. Perhaps I won't see it from my main view?

I'm so sorry for this inconvenience. I just checked the FAQ, but all I could find said that moderators may need to add tags for communities, and I don't know if that applies to this situation. I was really excited when I discovered this community, and I want to be sure I participate according to the rules. Thanks!

To be honest, a lot of people don't tag their entries - there are few enough that I sort of don't mind doing it myself. Thank you very much for your dedication though! I can only ask that you tag your entries as you post them, in the future.
