Minato plops down inside the free chair, eyeballs the unmarked bottle, and considers two things: whether he should get all high and mighty about underage drinking, or whether he should hope Shinjiro doesn't like girls or at least doesn't like the kind of girl Minato's looking like at the moment. Do. Not. Want.

"Should I even ask?" he asks before considering a moment, then getting another cup. He pours some of the sake for Minato and offers it. The boy could use it, he figures.

Minato gives the drink a suspicious stare. You know, it's all sorts of wrong. The bar normally wouldn't serve alcohol to minors. But...just maybe...just maybe it did this out of guilt for what it had done to him.

So don't be surprised when his hand darts out to the drink and lifts it to his lips so he can take a sip... Which causes him to cough. A lot.

Maybe Shinjiro brought his own shit in from outside. The boy scored drugs for controlling a physical manifestation of his own fragmented psyche, alcohol is easy compared to that.

"Don't inhale right before you drink - exhale, the burn comes from contact with oxygen." he advised. Not that he cared or anything.

It probably went like this: either Shinjiro walked into this place by accident, or he has a regular door to this place and came here deliberately. Minato knows this as well as he knows the tricks the bar can play, now, but he's only asking because he knows Shinji's not a social type of guy.

"Came through the door." He answers first, before following it up with the better explanation of "Found it a while ago. Thought I was hallucinating at first." but it was a safe place to sleep that wasn't an alleyway where he could get mugged, back before he had access to the dorms again, so he didn't really complain.

"Same." He takes another sip of the not so mystery liquid in the cautious movements of a novice, trying to keep his face from contorting. "You should be careful, though. The bar plays tricks."

"Not much it can do to me that I haven't done to myself already." Shinjiro says cryptically, looking past Minato rather than at.

"...Well, alright the skirt shit would be new, but whatever, I'd just go harass Aki until it wore off."

Minato wishes he was chased around by girls. D:

"If he's chased by girls at school it's because none of them know how difficult it is for him to talk to girls outside of a team setting. Which means he doesn't pay attention to the girls at school." A = B = C or something, Shinjiro knows these things. He has the best friend psychic powers.

Minato, meanwhile, hooks a arm over the back of his chair and starts to slouch, just a little. It's definitely not a feminine posture. He also doesn't look all that impressed by what Shinjiro's said. Not that he doesn't like the deduction he's made, it's just, well.

"If he has trouble talking to girls he should get help. I could help him."

Beat.

"Um. Not like this."

Unfortunately, as much as he should totally want it, he definitely doesn't.
