Sarah Williams // Return to Labyrinth series // Barways
There's a woman sitting at a corner table, glasses slipping down her nose -- but she's so deep in concentration that she barely notices. She's grading papers -- essays, to be exact... which is probably why her frustration seems to be building. Finally, with a groan, she tosses the paper she's holding onto the pile; removing her glasses and rubbing her forehead wearily. There's a now-empty cup of coffee by her right hand, and she looks into it for a few moments.
She seems to make a decision, sweeping the mountain of essays into her bag and tossing it over her shoulder. She rises from her chair, taking her mug to the bar, where she sets it down on the counter and takes a seat, dropping her bag at her feet. "I need a drink," she says, "Something... stiff. Strong. Surprise me."
A drink appears by her hand, and she takes a deep gulp -- yep, it's strong, all right. She takes another sip and pulls something from her pocket -- it looks like a ticket, to anyone who might be looking, although the print may be too small for someone to see exactly what it's a ticket for. But Sarah might just tell you that herself.
[ooc: Sarah is taken from the Return to Labyrinth manga series, and thus follows canon... so I put her near the end of Volume 3, before she leaves to see Jareth's performance, but after she receives the ticket. Open till... whenever ^___^]
