Who's that?

Well, it's sure as shit not Wes.

Too tall. Too old (two years). Too... still.

Too here, perhaps.

And the fact that he doesn't recognize her is a clue, as is the sheathed sword he carries easily in his left hand.

Nevertheless, there is a resemblance.

She starts when she first sees him...his name on her lips...but it's never said.

Almost immediately she realises it's not him. But she does continue to stare openly.

"Hell if I know!"

Darla stares.

Yeah hey so that door she's staring at.

How's she gonna react when it opens and her dear old boyfriend walks through?

No, not the short, fluffy one who wants to make her life so much better with sunshine and daisies. Her real boyfriend.

The one she belongs to.

Only one way to find out.

She shoves away from the table the second she sees him and starts backing away, tripping slightly.

By the fireplace, an oddly familiar-looking young woman glances up.

Her cold blue eyes narrow slightly.

Ah, there's the one he was looking for. Maybe if she'd not moved so fast, he would have looked right over her.

She's not exactly worth noticing, after all.

He moves with speed that isn't human and catches up to her quickly, hand sliding down her arm to grip her wrist.

"Good evening, princess."
