Chapter 10
The apartment was a mess. I knew some one had ransacked the place.
'Look for a diary,planner, notes
or a calendar. I have an idea but I need facts.'I announced.
Maru,Ueda & I look and I saw Maru looking at the calendar.
'Kame, come here.' he called. He was pointing at the wall calendar. The 12th was circled.
'Ah, she has a lot of junk.' Ueda remarked.' Aye Kame I found the diary or something.'
Maru & I walked over. Ueda opened it up and read out loud.
*Meet with Dr. Fujiwara and set up an appointment for the 12th. Hope he doesn't find out.
'I wonder who she doesn't want to find out?'Maru asked ' is there anymore?.'
'yeah,' Ueda said turning some pages.' It reads *saw what I shouldn't have. Hope no one knows.
Next entry is *he knows. I don't know what he knows.'
'anything else?' Maru asked again.
'Yeah, the last entry reads *I think I'm in the clear, but 6 months from now it'll be a problem. That was the last thing written' Ueda finished. We sat in silence. It was becoming clear, I just needed a few more pieces. Ueda's phone broke the silence.
'yeah, really ok thanks.' he answered then hung up the phone.
' That ways Mari, she said she heard that Aiko was involved with a man named Mike Watanabe.'
'He was that low level petty criminal right?' Maru asked.' I did an article about him. I know he was arrested for fraud, but served a light sentence.'
'I seemed to remember that, he was behind several robberies.' I said.
' This paints a grin picture Kame.' Ueda replied.
'Yes, now we just need to catch him.' I answered.
'Kame, Ueda I have an idea.' Maru exclaimed
Ueda looked at me.
'What is it?' I asked. He whispered it to me.
'That's risky.' I remarked.
'What's risky?' Ueda asked. I whispered it to him.
:That is risky.' he replied.
'I know but they follow us so we can bait them!!'Maru remarked
'Ok but let's me at my place of business, that way we have some options should things go bad.' Ueda suggested.
'Sure if ya want to.' I replied. 'ok Maru, well do it but we need to careful.' I was nervous about how this whole thing was going to work. We left for Ueda's Place.
