Maru dropped me off & I watched he drive away. It was sorta sad but I knew he would be safe & really I needed to investigate alone. I didn't want Maru to get hurt. I felt bad for Yuko, but it let's me know a games afoot.
I decided to visit Ueda again too if he found anything about that coin. First though I ran by a store to pick up some freshly made takoyaki.
I arrived at Ueda's place of work. I knocked on the door. It opened.
'Kame it's you.' he remarked ' you ran off without this.' he added & flipped me the coin.
'What did you make of it?'i asked.
'mmm, can't think on an empty stomach, nuts only go so far & you've been gone for a bit.'
'would these help?' I asked putting the bag of takoyaki on his desk. He smirked, trying really hard not to be too excited.
'Cone here, Kame.'he said & pulled out an extra seat. I handed him the coin.
'this,' he stated in-between bites.'is from a hostess club.'
'ah, I see.' I remarked.
'But it's a seedy one Kame.'
'How so?'
'Well it runs like your average hostess club in the front,but the back room is used for other business.'Ueda explained taking another bite.'what no beer?'
'I figured you had some left.'I needed him to focus.
'ah well' he remarked disappointed.
'so' he continued,' the back room,it's rumoured to be a mini black market.
'hmmm, well that puts some light on the matter. Thanks Ueda.' I rose to get out of the seat but when I did I felt a sharp pain.
'you really should be up ya know' Ueda said' you were run over just last night.'
He helped me to the door.
'I know but Yuko's in the hospital,. I've been attacked. and since Yuko is Maru's sister, he's in danger too. I need to solve this before anyone else gets hurt.'I felt a little fatigued. Ueda was staring.
'I think ya really need to rest Kame. Mainly because if you collapse & no one can find you,how can you help anyone?'
'Fair point, but still I can't.' I remarked & turned to walk away. Ueda grabbed my wrist.
'Not an option Kame.'
'e?'. I answered & then lights out.
