Our original plan of subletting for two months in the hope of closing on property didn't exactly pan out, as you may have gathered. Put down a deposit today for an apartment, starting August onward. This was a remarkably arduous process, despite the huge number of "for rent" signs around here. * My car's officially a PA resident again, and my driver's license is taken care of, too. It's weird- when I went to NY, they had DMVs there that would take care of everything at once, license and registration. In PA, you have to go to two places: a driver's license center, and then AAA for anything else. So I ended up becoming a AAA member too ( Read more... )

In the continuing saga of Precarious Cat Spelunking, Sephie found the best hiding place in the apartment: on top of the ledge that was being used to block up the fireplace. >.< All her white parts were completely black; we had to take her to the kitchen sink, hold her down, and give her a full-fledged bath.
