So, I've been working on this ST '09 fic, for a return prompt I got about...oh...three or so months ago. That was supposed to be a drabble. You know, a SHORT drabble. However, I don't think I've written anything under 1k words my whole life, so naturally, this failed horribly. And mutated into a fic that's about 9k words. Although somewhat horrified, am I not completely surprised.

Obviously, this is a skill that needs more practice. SUCCESSFUL practice. If only my rational mind would stop coming up with explanations and backstories for every little thing. Does anyone know if there's a group for Exponential Backstory Writers (EBW) Anonymous? *sighs*
