Geez, I never thought to utter those words about a chain retail store, but it's true.
Last week, Jason's Xbox got a partial red ring of death. So off to Microsoft it will go. In the meantime, he was going to use mine. He played on it last night. Today when we get home, I have the same stupid red ring. Luckily, Jason purchased mine at Best Buy and spent the extra $30 on the product replacement warranty.
The replaced my Xbox with no problems at all. And then, the most wondrous thing. He bought my Xbox for $279. They now sell for $199. So they actually gave us money back!!!! Jason used the difference to buy a new product replacement warranty for the new Xbox AND still got $54 on a gift card. Yeah!!!!! Brand new toys and money back. From a crappy day to a wonderful one. Just like that. ^_^
