First of all THANK YOU to everyone who donated to the cause. I was really surprised and impressed. Big props to all of you.
You did your part, so I did mine.
About 45 people showed up yesterday - very impressive!
I was in the first group to go. We did three people per station, five stations, and rotated on the minute call.
Every CrossFit needs a bunny...
Strategy:
This time I would start with Wall Ball - last time I finished with it. Wall Ball has been my weaker event, so if I knocked it out first, I could probably get big numbers.

3...2...1...Go!!!
Knocked out 21 Wall Ball first minute. Perfect.
However, as I switched stations, I knew I was going to be in trouble. I had a hard time bringing down my heart rate, so the high pull (one of my stronger events) suffered.
By Box Jumps, I was able to put forth a greater effort. Even though I had to step off the box each time because my ankle still isn't fully healed, I turned in a pretty good performance on that.
Push Press I expected to be pretty weak, but again, I turned in a good performance. Strategy for that one is to rest a little bit to get started, knock out 10 quickly, rest again, then knock out as many as you can.
Row worked out pretty nice. Smaller people like myself generally have smaller numbers, but I did real well.
One minute rest was more of a teaser than anything else. I couldn't get my breathing or heart rate under control, so Wall Ball definitely suffered each time.
Everything else stayed pretty consistent for the next two rounds.
I'm thinking now that my strategy had the opposite effect. The one minute break was not enough for me to come back fresh. So Wall Ball took a huge hit. And I think also that there was a psychological component to that as well. Since I was so destroyed for Wall Ball, I performed badly for High Pull as well. I'm thinking I could have knocked more High Pulls out had I not been so destroyed from Wall Ball.
Results:
The good news is, I did better than I did last time I did this back in February. The bad news is, only by 3 points!

So... while I was disappointed with my performance (I was hoping for closer to 275), at least I made SOME improvement from last time. James was frustrated to get the EXACT same score as last time, and Karissa was well below her score. Other people got significant new PRs, so the day was victorious for some.
Next time, I'm thinking of starting with Box Jump and going all out on it. My ankle will hopefully be healed, so I can really hit it hard. End with the row again.
Major, major props to Kat, who decided to do this workout, and got a really respectable first time score of 192! That was only 15 below mine, and at the rate she's going, she'll be destroying me on a daily basis in very short order.
