It was a good X-Mas. Not outbursts or anything of that nature. Everything was as smooth as smooth can be.
Almost every year my parents do this, climatic gift thing. (When we were little, we got that big square, plastic gym thing. I know Jules remembers it). Well, this year, Lee's was a Jason Lee/Stereo board with all the fixings. And I got a BA keyboard. It's amazing. My parents have been playing around with it a lot, but I'm getting the hang of it, sort of. I'm not looking to be an amazing/Arbat-like pianist, but it's so much fun. I've started to figure out "Moonlight Sonata," which is going much better than I expected anyway.
Not to mention the fact it will make it so much easier when I write music. The violin's great, but it only has so many octaves/capabilities.
So now Lee, Dad, and I are going to see "The Ringer." I expect it to be a big extension on the Special Olympics episode of South Park. I really want to see Memoirs of a Geisha (and I'm holding off on seeing The Producers), but of course, I'm going up against: "GRRR! TESTOSTERONE!" But it could be worse. It could be Cheaper by the Dozen.
