Another year is upon us & as I reflect on how far I’ve become, I of course think about the future & what lies ahead.
I have had a bit of a weight struggle, but I ended up losing another 29 pounds total, bringing me up to just under 75 since I started my weight loss journey.
I started to focus more on my strength training instead of just being a cardio bunny. It really is starting to change my life & body.
I COMPLETED A 5K. Seriously. I still can’t believe it. I really want to do another one.
Without further adieu, these are my annual goals/new year resolutions:
- Lose a total of 41 pounds
- Increase my total strength. I can currently bench press 10 KG (22 lbs) without a struggle & I want to double that
- Manage my stress in more positive outlets. I do frequent the gym, but I want to find other ways besides running/lifting/zumba.
- With the above mentioned, I want to decrease my stress related behaviors, such as binge eating & blemish picking. I know the latter might be TMI, but it is starting to become a problem I need to face (uhm…no pun intended…)
- I need a new job. I’m going to try to establish myself elsewhere by midyear the latest.
- I need to find new living arrangements. Currently I live with my fiancée & his parents & I want to move out on our own as soon as we can.
- I want to set at marriage date. We have been engaged for 2.5 years.. sooner than later is the key.
- I want to pay off another student loan. The more I pay off, the less debt looming over my head
And finally (& most importantly)
- I want to be *truly* happy with myself. I have come along way so far, but I am still a work in progress.
