huttah! i totally agree. and the only thing worse than leggings under a ripped miniskirt is leggings under those shirts they're making now that go past your ass. Its a shirt not a dress!!! You NEEEEEEEED to wear PANTS!
holy fuck, i can't believe people leave the house dressed like that.
retro looks are rarely ever authentic. More often than not they are affected by contemporary styles and trends (or in direct rebellion from said trends) But either way, it's always a fusion, something slightly new. Not that it always works.. but sometimes you get something interesting out of it. Like how 50's garb is constantly being rejuvenated and built upon.
I always find it really cool when i see someone who manages to make a tacky, or otherwise tricky, style work for them. Neither with nor against the grain.
I've gotta say tho.. i've *never* seen anyone with a side pony tail... back when it was supposedly popular or as a retro style... if i'd seen someone with one before i read this i would have thought they were just being dumb
as for past styles... i never really had any style.. so i can't really look back and be emmbarassed... i just wore what was comfortable and/or what was provided for me
