Just came back home an hour ago...
I went to Mr. Goh's house to do the piano accompaniment work for his cello student. Apparently, she's having her Grade 1 examination this coming Thursday so I needed to have an examination rehearsal with her.
Anyway, I'm chargeable - $50 per 45 minutes session (Daddy thinks I'm charging a cheaper rate...but I think this rate is safer at the moment, considering that my qualification is just only at Grade 8. Wait till I got my diploma first, then see whether I can charge a little higher...Haha..). So in a sense, I have 2 sessions with Mr. Goh's cello student - Examination rehearsal and on the day itself = $100. Whoo... extra income in my bank account.
Finally, I have the privillege to meet his wife and his son (Samuel), the 2 persons whom some of my graduated seniors have been talking about during my first year in SE. I felt quite awkward, having to sit in the same car as his wife and his son are sitting at the back of the car. My first reaction was like 'huh?!' when Mr. Goh asked me to sit in front (because to me, I feel quite...ya know...) of the car... but oh well...
Along the journey to his house, the way his wife communicates with Mr. Goh is somehow cute and yet, quite fiesty too. Especially when they're talking about music-related stuff, is somewhat how me and Godwin usually communicates with each other (Don't need for me to describe that out right? Just imagine how me and Godwin discuss about music-related stuff, then you guys would be able to understand). Plus, he's a family-man and he's very involved with his son though. Hahaha... Well, I'm just an onlooker but to see that kind of communication between husband and wife, is like, any couples or singles, waiting to find the right person, would envy in green.
That's the right kind of family that I want to set up in the near future, get it?
Anyway, it has been sidetracking to nowhere. Hahaha...~ Mr. Goh's cello student seems to be a little unstable in her thoughts and poor Mr. Goh, he has to keep reassuring her that she's going to do pretty well for her examination. The thing is that, she sets a little too high of a standard, which is kind of good but in a way, is bad for her mentality. It seems that if she doesn't get a distinction for her Grade 1 exam, she might not want to continue or something like that... *shrugs*
I had a little fun with her during the examination rehearsal. I don't know why but according to Mr. Goh, she's a very serious sort of person but when I am around, the whole situation turns very giggly. HAHAHA! I had never know that my giggles and laughters could be that contagious though. =X
And oh, Mr. Goh's house is a really nice place...with breeding of fishes around and the place seems to be quiet and all, puts any worried soul into much ease. It's very breezy too! Compared to my family's house or rather, my piano teacher's house - HOT LIKE OVEN! Argh.
After that, he lent me something very, very precious...something that I must really take care and have to die, die carry the hardcase along around with me and after usage, I must return it back to him on Friday.
It's his German-made cello bow which costs at.... 2K!!! O.O! Apparently, that German-maker actually made a bow for him and it is a carbon-fiber bow or something like that, thus costing 2K. I haven't tried the bow yet and it is sitting on top of my grand piano. Mr. Goh said that once I've tried the bow, I will definitely like it because it seems that kind of bow will suit my style. Oh well, I trying it tomorrow morning before I'm going for my cello lesson at 4pm and see whether I can buy a similar bow as Mr. Goh's that within my budget.
*Yawnz* My eyes are really closing...I can't afford to sleep late again, otherwise another 'strike' will come by again.
Bye...for now!
