(no subject)
My rats have been doing great... but I had a hankerin' for more. So after scouring the Nanaimo SPCA website and places like Nanaimo!Craigslist/Nanaimo!Kijiji/UsedNanaimo looking for anyone who needed to re-home their male rats, I got a little frustrated, since there were no males. The SPCA had six females, but I can't put females in unless I want to spay them all or neuter my boys. So I kept looking. I never found anything.
Then I looked on UsedVictoria for rats. Victoria is about 90 to 120 minutes away from my town... but I thought that maybe someone might be making a trip up and could drop them off. I wrote to a lady on Friday (I think) who has lots of rats that need re-homing (all for free) and as luck would have it, she had two boys in the age range I wanted (so they are around the same age as the ones I already had) and she was coming up to Nanaimo on Monday (today). Stroke of luck that I emailed when I did!
So she met me at the corner where my home is and I took the little darlings. They are doing ok so far.
