5. Have the main Christmas presents bought or made by October 31.
I have actually thought about these, which is better than nothing. :)

I have bought two Christmas presents. Unfortunately one of them is a perfect present for a couple I know - the perfect one for them and no one else I know - so of course they've broken up...

The other's a purple elephant.

This all sounds mightily impressive to me. I've given up on targets, because I always fail them and it's too depressing.

I felt exactly that way, until I realized that having no targets at all meant I got nothing done, which was even more depressing. So now I try very hard to think in terms of percents of success. :)
