Doctor Who Finale

Uhh...spoilers ahead.

Overall, I really liked it. The acting was pretty good on everyone's parts.

Moments that are sticking with me in roughly the order they appeared:

1) The absolute stare of WTF from Jack and Rose when the Doctor didn't regenerate into a different body.
2) Martha speaking German (even though I still have no freakin' clue what exactly was said in that scene).
3) The confrontation of the Doctor about how he molds his companions to do all the dirty work...beyond words (AND IT'S SO TRUE!)
4) Naked!Doctor (damn he's pale)
5) The look on Jack's face when he sees two Doctors was great. (You could totally tell that he was restraining certain comments that would have broken the family-friendly rating.)
6) Of course, when Jack actually did say: "I can't tell you what I'm thinking right now." *leers*
7) Martha as CMO of Torchwood and Mickey as dude-who-insults-Jack (and talk about their less-great-than-Doctor's wuv of Rose together)?
8) Mickey realizing what the 2nd Doctor meant b/f anyone else said anything.
9) Although the which one of you likes me better scene was a bit cliched, it was wonderful in proving that the Timelord Doctor loves Rose so very much, but knows that ultimately, his responsibilities to the universes and time is more important that one human being who will die in her lifetime. The fact that he trusted Rose to make Doctor II better and not use his knowledge for nefarious things is a great testament of his trust in her. ('Cause he obviously didn't trust Doctor II not to make some what he sees as morally-challenged decisions.)
10) Yet, the fact that Rose still runs toward the Tardis when she sees it leaving, in addition to Doctor II's face, reassures me that there's plenty of angst still to be worked out over there (which hopefully means plenty of pretty pretty stories to read).
11) Finally, DONNA! Oh Donna Donna Donna! She is so incredible and really just as great as any of the other Children of Time. Her time with the Doctor did build up her confidence and also mature her. The fact that the proof of her specialness had to be taken away by the one being who truly believed in her specialness...wow. Of course, the utter lack of recognition in Donna's face when the Doctor takes the time to say a personal goodbye is beautiful in its sadness (as in Catherine Tate's grand acting).
12) Doctor's parting words that all his other companions (his big "family" as Sarah-Jane calls it) have found someone (families) of their own + the lonely and wet Doctor face as the ending shot of the season =Very very much love

Just a last thought: Rose as a Child of Time and the Doctor as a Timelord...that's kinda kinky ;)

Whew!

Edit: Is there really going to be no Doctor Who season in 2009? I hear rumors that there may be a "real" regeneration before the new 2010 season. Maybe I can keep my fingers crossed for the 10th Doctor to appear on Torchwood or something...
