So I haven't really posted a whole lot in a while. Nothing that really said anything about my thoughts or feelings.
This got a little long... )

My mom asks me to ask you to see how the medication works for you. She hesitant about new meds but if it works, she wants to get on it. Also, try seeing a chiropractor, do some research, see if you maybe can find one who has some experience with fibro as well. I see one who specializes in my pubic bone/pregnancy disorder but she's also helped in relaxing the really tender and tense trigger points in my shoulders and next as well with some stimulation, light massage and adjustments.

I hope you feel better! Happy Thanksgiving!

The meds are working well. Like I said, I still have my good days and my bad days, but the bad days are better than they were. It took some time getting used to, because of the side effects, which can be brutal, but the benefits outweigh the annoyances of the side effects. I have been doing some research on "alternative" medicine types of things, and I am going to be starting a good exercise regimine that won't hurt me, but will help. As for the chiro, I used to work for a group, and have free chiropractic care for life, right now it's a matter of making time. I will be trying to work that in too. John has been helping a lot too... He's learning how to do light massage to loosen up the trigger points in my neck where it's been really hurting. He's been incredibly helpful. There are times though that I get frustrated with everything though.

I have UPMC insurance. I work for the company and they took nearly a month to approve the insurance. It was actually pretty hard to get it approved. One of the best things that I did with them was prove to them that Lyrica is the ONLY FDA APPROVED medication for fibro. That finally made them give in.

Yeah. It's a rollercoaster ride. I don't imagine that it will get a whole lot better either. We just have to learn to pace ourselves, I guess!

Hope you had a good Thanksgiving!
