Still here, still, coughing, and very frustrated. I was supposed to go to an interview yesterday, but contacted them Wednesday to ask if I could reschedule due to illness. I was told flat out "no", as they had interviews booked back to back and it was a very popular position. Fine, I thought - I'll talk to work, go in and do a half day (as it's in the same building), do the interview at the end, and come home.
That was before I woke up at 2 AM with a painful secondary infection. Which I didn't get antibiotics for until 11:30 AM. Which were supposed to kick in within 24 hours.
So I called and canceled the interview. What choice was there? This is a bit traumatic in general, as there aren't alot of positions out there that I want to apply for at my level that aren't crazy-making (i.e. I really don't want to go back to clinical trials), and my contract ends in August. So every interview feels like it counts, even if I might not get the job.
Oh, well. I'll take the positive spin that it wasn't the job I was meant to get, and that there are times you just can't push. At least I've been able to spend time working on my website, as there's not much else I can do from here... {:(
