In Absentia

Lots of things going on, although I seem to lack the energy to maintain all these spinning plates. So here are some catch-up bullet points as an update:

Maelstrom:

~ Wet, chilly, and utterly fabulous
~ Invisible juggling is the best mood lifter evah
~ All hail Tallard's Rule #8
~ First time monstering in makeup - wearing a mask and carrying a
huuuuuuge axe. Not bad for a midwife!
~ Giggling all over site
~ Everything in Le French
~ Being missed in Flambard
~ My leather cloak is resistant to hail
~ The Saturday Night Gamblers - Corsets, Ahoy!
~ Maddie cuddles
~ Propping up the bar and engaging in brilliant conversation
~ CAKE! ALL the CAKE!
~ Watching the pre-dawn at the Crew Party
~ "God Fairy says THANK YOU!"
~ Remembering how to log in money and lammies without prompting....for hours,
and hours....

Guy:

~ Has met with NICEIC rep and begun paperwork
~ Was told PD would be purchasing a PAT Tester from the manufacturer, and
they would be sending him on the course and allow him to borrow the kit
during the year (*blink* \o/)
~ Has been asked to do electrics for new Outcast LRP on the PD site
(currently pending)

Work:

~ Getting a meeting with my manager to set up some actual work! \o/
~ Meetings, meetings, and more meetings
~ Research and talking to people vs. detailed data management = good, but
veeeery strange
~ My mantra: It's not necessary to do all this yesterday.
~ Travel! Getting out of the office! And I can claim it back!!
~ Must learn more project management tools. Most things are just pegged
together with a bit of string and chewing gum. (Surprise!!)
~ Emails from old office colleagues are nice. }:)

Massage:

~ A bit thin on the ground, but still getting a steady trickle. Kind of what
I wanted anyway, but not necessarily in the month where I am changing jobs.
(eeep!)
~ May have got a good referral locally! \o/
~ Have started attending FHT meetings, which are proving to be interesting
and a nice way to meet people

Personal:

~ Stressing a little about money due to the switching jobs thing
~ Need to exercise more (DUH). Must start walking again.
~ Am trying to find a way to get myself back into structured evenings. I'm
not really doing anything when I get home, which is unfair on my husband
who has also been working all day. I have started writing things down
again, and will be attempting to be a little bit strict with time in terms
of exercise and house work.* This will be better for my sanity in the long
run, and I'll be able to look at my tiny achievements and be proud.
~ Am trying to identify what activities/things help me feel relaxed,
nourished, and calm and on an even keel. Once I can do that, perhaps I can
promote them in my life a bit more.

* This does not necessarily mean cleaning, but actually spending time caring for our house: i.e. organising, putting things away, maintaining a nice atmosphere which is, as it turns out, the thing I pay more attention to in this relationship. }:D
