Scratchbuilt Terrain - G Scale Billboard
Originally uploaded by misterjustin. My father in-law has a beautiful G scale model railroad. Every year he pulls it out for the winter holidays and has a blast fiddling with his trains. He also has a large collection of tractors in a similar scale and has been talking about making a tractor sales showroom for them to go with the train.
That was all the excuse I needed to get to work on a 1/24 scale billboard for him. The whole thing is scratchbuilt with plasticard and terrain decorations.
This photo doesn't show the finished project though. I did give it to my father in-law tonight for his birthday (it was a hit) but it came home with me so I could finish a few things -- including installing the lights that go along the top.
The whole thing stands ten inches to the top, including the base.
