Word Bearers Dark Apostle - WIP 03
Originally uploaded by misterjustin. Well, I've done it now. I am finally starting to cross in to the deep-end of insanity where the really crazy people (that play with plastic army men) live. Let us examine my symptoms:
This conversion is made from the bits of no less than... ten different models. The actual might be a bit higher but it's certainly no lower. In addition his left leg was originally in the same position as his right. That is until I cut it in to three pieces and used pins and epoxy to get the pose I wanted.
When everything is said and done it's still just a silly little plastic army man. I know. But it's fun being able to see the results of hacking, chopping and sculpting these little guys.
I have already started in on painting the banner. Photos to come, of course -- but it has already prompted the first, "Jesus..." from the missus. Tomorrow I paint with a fella that regularly turns out display quality pieces. He has been a great source of deflation (in a very good way); we'll see what he says about this one.
