Darn tootin'!
I'm well-aware that I overuse the term "blows my mind," but I do like it so.... Anyway, I was having an e-xciting, e-conversation with the Reverend (well I thought it was exciting) and I used the phrase "darn tootin'."
I pondered the phrase and wham! or maybe whoosh! my mind was blown!
Like this: whoooshhh!
ANYWAY:
I was confused by the phrase. People use it to express agreement or approval but why? what the fuck does it mean?
I KNOW.
It's a verbal fart of approval. Everybody likes farting... well, at least when they're alone. It relieves, you know? Farting is agreeable so therefore farting can be used to express agreement. However, since farting isn't exactly considered socially acceptable, people have found a different way to express it: in words.
Voila!

Some sad news for y'all:
The Reverend has informed me that his e-pulpit will be no more. Some of you (well maybe not YOU exactly) didn't appreciate his message. His was a message of laughter; a spirituality based in humor. He opened himself up to us in a very special and Holy way. Let us not forget what he said to us. Let us not forget the inspiration and guidance he gave. Perhaps if we all pray on bended knee he will come back to his flock... we can sweeten the deal by letting him shave us for wool, maybe?
