The theme of this weekend has been IT weekend. Bethcutler.com went down a few weeks ago and I've been intermittently trying to fix it, but eventually gave up and decided I need to get all the data off. But I was dreading that as well, since dealing with Linux is always more painful than it should be

I'd recommend some managed hosting thing for 150-200 a year. One of the more time efficent decisions I've made.

Yeah, I ended up going with Bluehost.com. Its working out well so far, though I expect it'll be a bit of a hassle to get SVN setup.
